Stray bullet hit a girl

A 13-year old girl Mamei daughter of Md Abdul Wahid of Lilong Nungei suffered severe wounds at the chest when she was hit by a bullet coming from an unknown direction while she was inside her house at Lilong Nungei under Lilong police station last night at around 9 pm, police report said.

World AIDS day is also observed in Manipur under the theme âStop AIDS, keep the promise- Leadershipâ. In a function held at RIMS Jubilee Hall, state Governor Dr. S.S. Sidhu reiterated the role of media in fighting HIV/AIDS.
He further assured that he will pursue Prime Minister and Union Health Ministry to give more financial assistance in fighting HIV/AIDS.

‘Disturbed area’ status extended for another year

Bhagyachandra Dance Festival Begins in Imphal

The 8th Bhagyachandra National Festival of Classical Dance begins in Imphal. Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh opened the Festival at the historic Shri Shri Govindajee Temple Kangla.
The festival is held for every three years.
